1.5mm 7 Core SWA Armoured Cable
1.5mm 7 Core SWA Armoured Cable is a form of electrical, capable of carrying mains electricity across a long length of cable.
A few of the different uses for this cable include:
- Low-voltage transmissions
- Low-voltage Power Supplies
- Small Powered Motors
- Low-voltage control applications
If you require an estimate size of cable based on your application, please access our armoured cable calculator. PLEASE NOTE; this is an approximation, if you don’t know what cable size it is you require, please contact a qualified electrician so they can consult the regulations and confirm. The information you need is what type of circuit it is, either being single-phase or three-phase, the power running through the cable in kW or Amps and the length of the run.

Description | 1.5mm 7 Core Armoured Cable 1.5mm 7 Core Armoured Cable is a form of electrical cable, primarily found in electrical installations such as powered devices and networks, powering outdoor features such as lighting and jacuzzis, as well as industrial installations. 7 Core Cable contains white coloured cores with black numbers to dictate which core is which. It’s construction is commonly identified as steel for the wire armour, PVC for the outer sheathing and bedding, XLPE (Cross-Linked Polyethylene) for the insulation and plain annealed stranded copper for the cores. As the cable contains a steel wire armour, this not only provides a form of mechanical protection, but can also be used an earth for the cable. |
